Leaving Hermiston, OR we headed southeast to the small town of Huntington along the Snake River to the campground called Catfish Junction RV Park. WOW, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place along the river to do an overnight stay. The staff at the park were so nice, inviting us to come -on -over for dinner! We got our “house” settled and headed on over to the outdoor picnic area. Gosh what a layout! Fresh deep fried catfish (caught that day), salads, beans, and so many deserts it’s hard to remember all of them. Only know our plates were full…lol.  It was delicious!

Ron & Sissy took a walk along the river, watching a couple of people fishing on the bank and exploring the surrounding area.

The sunset & sunrise was just beautiful over the surrounding mountains and reflecting on the river. Taking in the peaceful quiet & beauty of the area.

 As we make our way south on I-90/395 from Spokane…crossing the Columbia River which separates the states of Washington & Oregon we find ourselves in the town of Hermiston, Oregon at a the Pioneer RV park. The park hosts were so friendly and helpful we ended up staying 2 nights, getting laundry done, etc.

Forgot to mention, we lost the keys to the car somewhere the morning we left the casino in Airway Heights. Calling the gas station where we dumped and took on fuel was to no avail. Had hoped someone would find and take to check out counter.

One of the first things we did at the RV park was ask where the nearest Ford dealership was to make a new set of keys.  Lucky for us it was just down the road about 8 miles into town. They guys there were so nice to us…even went and got us a Starbuck’s coffee while we waited!

The first stop was to see my daughter, Stephanie who lives over in the Spokane, WA area. It had been quiet a while since we’d seen each other so was very excited to get across the state and spend some time with her.

When we reached Spokane it was decided that we’d stay in Airway Heights at the Northern Quest Casino for the week. Really nice staff and huge parking lot for cars, trucks & rv parking. Down the street was a Walmart, laundromat, restaurants, gas, propane and a dumping station. How great was that!
